Le Grange Grill and Cellars | Wine Ranch Grill Restaurant | Old Town Murrieta
Some questions have been coming up on the recent name change of Le Grange Grill and Cellars to Wine Ranch. Well, no worries, same owners, same wine, same beer and same food! The reason for this name change was because of legal reasons. Le Grange Grill and Cellars was going to be sued by the 150 year old Grange Hall Organization who has the word “Grange” trademarked. Therefore, the Wiens family was forced to change their name to Wine Ranch. On May 29, 2019, the new name and sign was hung on the restaurant.

When I first learned that the old Plow Boys Market in Old Town had closed and was being replaced with a wine bar and restaurant. I immediately went online to research this restaurant and came to find out that the new place was Le Grange Grill and Cellars, a sister company of Orange Coast Winery and Wiens Family Cellars. Within a few days I found myself visiting the newest addition to old town with my friend Allie from Allie Marion Photography.
Minutes of arriving at Le Grange Grill and Cellars, I immediately had the urge to grab my grocery basket and begin picking my produce. The restaurant was surrounded with countryside wine racks with an industrial bar at the focal point of the place. I saw customers wine tasting outside and others laughing, as if they had been there for hours. As we sat, Allie and I absorbed the familial energy within the space and made ourselves at home.
As we ate, the restaurant began to fill up and servers got busier by the minute. The voices got louder and arriving customers began hugging each other, as we took our last bite of bacon wrapped dates and pizza. During our dinner, Joe Wiens came to our table and introduced his father to us, as he did with others throughout the restaurant. The restaurant started to feel like a family affair and soon enough, there wasn't an empty seat.
After our dinner, we proceeded to the wine tasting area, which slowly filled up with returning locals. By the end of the evening, the Wiens family was gathered at one of the tables laughing and enjoying with customers, making everyone feel at home.
Le Grange menu offers fresh culinary delights from pizzas, charcuterie boards, hummus, bacon wrapped dates, beer mussels and much more. The bar selections consist of mimosas, cocktails, craft beers, and Le Grange wines, along with other wines from well known producers. Wine tasting is available while you wait for your dinner table or for those who wish to come in for tastings only. Wine tastings are available seven days a week from 11-8pm. If you stop in on Monday-Thursday, you can get 50% off wine tastings.
Le Grange offers a relaxing country ambiance with an industrial and rustic touch to the restaurant. Le Grange is located in the old Plow Boys market in old town Murrieta on Washington Street and is the perfect addition to old town. The restaurant is a family affair, owned by Doug and Debbie Wiens, with Joe Wiens at the center of the wine making for their brand, Le Grange. The Wiens family is so excited to welcome you to their pet-friendly restaurant, built on the foundation surrounding their passion for wine making with simple family recipes in a family ambiance.
